The Tigers made their way to the District Semifinals with a win over Mathews, 48-31. The game was close at the half, but the Tigers pulled away with a 19-6 advantage in the 3rd quarter. All starters got in the scoring column, and Springfield’s defense held Mathews’ talented 1000-point scorer (Ashley Deans) to 12 points. Jacey Mullen and Kylee Kosek both posted double-doubles for Springfield. Mullen had 19 points and 12 rebounds, and Kosek had 15 points and 10 boards. Madi Lesnak added a 6 point-7 rebound- 5 block performance for the Tigers. The Tigers will travel to McDonald on Wednesday evening.
