Springfield’s Jaclyn Kish went the distance, and improved her pitching record to 12-2 on the season as the Springfield Lady Tigers defeated the Bristol Lady Panthers, 5-2. Kish scattered eight hits, struck out eight and did not allow a walk.
Kish and Abby Joseph were Springfield’s leading hitters as they each hit a pair of singles, drove in one run and scored once. Kaelen Yemma, Mya Duskey and Cassie Bacon each hit a single and drove in one run. Carlee Bacon and Makenzy Capouellez each hit a single to round out Springfield’s ten-hit attack.
Springfield improved their season record to 19-3, and will next play Girard in a district semi-final game on Monday, May 14 at 6:00 PM, at South Range High School.
