On senior night, Springfield’s lone senior, Cassie Bacon led the Tigers offense as Springfield defeated Lowellville 10-5. Bacon had three hits, which included a pair of singles and a double, and drove in three runs. Molly Pontius hit a two-run homer and a double. Pontius drove in two and scored twice. Makenzy Capouellez chipped in with a single, a double and one RBI. Mya Duskey hit a pair of singles and scored three times. Jacqueline Kish and Kaelen Yemma both hit a double and drove in one. Carlee Bacon and Marlie Applegarth both hit a single to round out Springfield’s thirteen-hit attack.
Jacqueline Kish and Abby Joseph shared mound duties for Springfield. Kish threw the first six innings and Joseph came on in the seventh to close the game for the Lady Tigers.
For Lowellville, Kelly Madison hit a two-run homer. Isabella Sotlar hit a pair of singles and
Sabrina Torres and Callie Kester both hit a double.
Springfield improved their record to 15-3 on the season and 10-2 in the conference.
